FROM THE ARTIST
These purple-blue wildflowers are called bluebells or Hyacinthoides non-scripta in the plant taxonomy. Besides referring to its color, the name itself also describes its dangling flowers that shaped like a bell. It typically blossoms in late March to May in the northern hemisphere.
It was my first time visiting this particular woodland, not very far from where I lived. There wasn't much to see from the outside but as soon as walked through the gate, I could see an endless field of bluebells blanketing the ground layer of the woodland. The adrenaline rush, the excitement, and the temptation to start exploring aimlessly all came at once.
As I composed myself and begun to wander around, I started to appreciate the enchantment brought by the bluebells. The contrasting colors, the light bursting through the canopy and the gentle sounds of the woodland such as the birds and the breeze rustling leaves in the trees created a strangely relaxing and meditating atmosphere.
